Yeah. I'm just wondering who would really want to buy the land, the house, … that's on the blockchain.
Why should we buy virtual world with real money… ? Because playing, building, learning, socializing and having fun in virtual reality with your friends, you forget that it's not physically real! Modern virtual reality provides enough data to the eyes, ears and brain to simulate reality, immerse you in a whole new world.
So just like owning land in your daily life, owning land in VR serves exactly the same purpose. A place to live, build, play, learn, grow and entertain. You are the landlord. You can rent it, sell it or even build a mall and manage it…
Why are people investing in Virtual Lands;
Alternative Investment Asset; Digital real estate has become a legitimate asset class. It gains exponentially in terms of value, which makes it an investment for investors.
Fear Of Missing Out ( FOMO ); It is people's fear of missing out on an investment opportunity. Live example; most people missed the opportunity to buy when Bitcoin was so cheap and this led them to products like Virtual reality, Non-Fungible Token ( NFT ).
Additional Earning Opportunities; Like building virtual lands, art studios, advertising or just renting to build on others and generate some income...
Decentraland (MANA); It is a virtual reality platform powered by the Ethereum blockchain. Each LAND parcel measures 16X16 meters and is represented by an NFT. An average LAND parcel in Decentraland is sold for approximately 6,900 MANA. This corresponds to approximately $5,245 at the time of writing. LAND plots are available from the in-game marketplace and third-party marketplaces such as OpenSea. The total number of parcels in Decentraland is limited to 90,000. Decentraland's developers own common areas, plazas and roads and cannot be bought or sold by users. This scarcity is one of the main drivers of LAND value in Decentraland. Just like in the real world, space is finite, which makes owning real estate in this metaverse potentially valuable.

My last words as I finish my article; Investment assets are often traded under the FOMO effect, forgetting what they really are. However, this does not prevent people from making crazy profits by flipping assets. The real question we have to ask ourselves is are we going to a point where speculators make people forget the real value of assets or are these assets really undervalued?
