Our itinerary led us to Balmoral Castle, the royal family's summer retreat, which welcomed visitors during select months. Positioned amidst stunning gardens, we wandered around the grounds, noting the extensive history tied to Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away at Balmoral in September 2022.
We took a leisurely break at the Castle's café, where we enjoyed vegan sandwiches paired with a refreshing gin—Balmoral Gin, no less! Surrounded by beautiful flowers tended to by the royal family, we spent hours relishing the exquisite surroundings.
