Released in 1977 on the album Asia, Josie immediately stands out because of its unconventional opening. Bat describes it as “the weirdest intro of all time,” announcing it with a mix of surprise and admiration. The intro features a complex amalgamation of chords and voicings that seem to defy typical pop or rock structures but just sound incredibly “cool” to listeners.
