Despite their happiness, the couple has faced considerable scrutiny and criticism regarding their marriage. Hailey opened up about the negative comments and hurtful rumors in a previous interview with W Magazine in July 2024. She expressed the emotional toll these criticisms have taken on her, stating, "People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one," adding that there are persistent rumors of their relationship deteriorating.
Addressing the persistent negativity, she remarked on the difficulty of coping with such public perceptions, revealing, "I used to try and act like it hurts less and less. I've tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point... but I realize that it doesn't actually ever hurt any less."
