Part 9/11:
To strengthen the social fabric, the Minister announced enhancements to the SNU (Service National Universel), extending its duration from one to three years, integrating participation in commemorative ceremonies, and encouraging military-related internships during secondary school. These measures aim to foster a culture of civic responsibility and patriotism from a young age.
Participation in the service will complement existing civic initiatives such as the service civique (volunteer service), which sees over 100,000 young participants annually, and reserve activities. The combined efforts seek to build a resilient civic-military community aligned with modern societal needs.
