Aristotle, in his "Politiques", posits that the essence of politics lies in human nature. He describes humans as "animal politique"—political animals—destined by nature to live in organized communities ("polis"). The key reason for politics is the pursuit of eudaimonia (flourishing or happiness), achieved through well-ordered collective life. The capacity for language allows humans to conceptualize and transform their societies; hence, political activity is linked to the human quest for happiness.
