The stringent requirements pose a substantial hurdle for RV manufacturers, many of whom currently lack viable zero-emission engines. As a result, any RV produced after the 2025 model year will not only be unavailable for sale in California but also cannot be registered if purchased out of state. Consequently, RVs manufactured prior to 2025—like those from 2020—will remain unaffected.
