Modern societies are characterized by a seemingly relentless push towards organized work. People are often seen busy with emails, Slack messages, or meetings, which creates a false sense of productivity. Yet, beneath this surface lies a fundamental problem: many of these efforts serve more to satisfy societal expectations than to deliver meaningful outcomes. We have constructed a work culture that often emphasizes activity over achievement. The predominant focus on "busyness" masks the underlying inefficiency and overlooks the actual outputs that truly matter.
