Back in 1986, a fired Apple executive named Steve Jobs acquired the tiny graphics company Pixar from George Lucas for $10 million. At the time, Pixar was primarily developing expensive computers, not films. But Jobs saw it as a storytelling machine capable of revolutionizing animation.
