The origin story of The Last Mile traces back to 2010 when the founder, Chris Redlitz, started engaging with inmates at San Quentin, expecting only a brief, superficial interaction. Instead, he found inmates who were deeply interested and prepared for entrepreneurship and innovation. These encounters revealed that many inmates had business ideas and aspirations they had long shelved, awaiting support and opportunity.
