Part 4/8:
Building on the house concept, Brewer launched the idea of "The Swarms", named after different species of hornets. These Swarms represent groups of students and staff unified by shared traits, symbols, and goals, further strengthening school identity and culture.
The process involved student participation: students designed T-shirts, which became symbols of pride and ownership. As part of the build-up, they went through a secretive selection process—an event filled with anticipation—as students learned which Swarm they belonged to: Basilis, Ducalis, Velutina, Crabro, and Luctuosa. Each species was chosen for its particular characteristics, embodying traits like resilience, teamwork, and leadership.
