Part 6/9:
Since their inception, the CRF has made significant strides. In 2018, they outplanted 25,000 corals—an increase from just six in their initial efforts. Their current goal is to reach about 30,000 planted corals within the year, aiming to rebuild the populations that have been lost. The coral tree method is recognized internationally as one of the most effective ways to accelerate coral growth and restore depleted reefs rapidly. Studies show that corals grown on these structures grow 3 to 6 times faster than their counterparts on natural reefs, dramatically speeding up restoration efforts.
