Rethinking Waste: A Black Box No More
For many, waste remains a mysterious black box. We discard our trash with little thought about what happens afterward. Tossing items in the garbage, we often ignore the journey of our waste, which is collected, possibly treated, and then disposed of—if we think about it at all. In modern society, there's a troubling tendency to overlook trash as a valuable resource, despite the fact that waste has always held potential for reuse and energy production.
