The Historic Achievement: Walking the Bridge Run
Adam’s determination paid off on race day. After nearly seven hours and completing 17,932 steps, he became the first paraplegic to walk the entire 6.2-mile bridge run using an exoskeleton. The moment was electrifying, with the entire city of Charleston rallying behind him. The sense of achievement was immense—“the greatest day of my life,” he recalls.
