Since its inception, The Crayon Initiative has collected approximately 225,000 pounds of crayons—roughly 31 million individual crayons—saving that waste from landfills. In just this year alone, the organization has donated 60,000 packs of crayons to children’s hospitals, projecting a total of 250,000 packs by year’s end.
This collective effort has a tangible, uplifting impact. Children in hospitals light up when they receive a new crayon to draw and create, allowing them to enjoy their childhood and express themselves despite challenging circumstances.
