Derrick’s foray into animal prosthetics started somewhat serendipitously while working for a major human prosthetic company. When he noticed a scheduled dog prosthetics case, he decided to give it a shot despite having no prior experience in veterinary prosthetics. The success of that initial attempt sparked a revelation: a vast unmet need existed for high-quality, affordable animal mobility devices. Recognizing the potential, Derrick launched his own business, focusing exclusively on creating custom prosthetics and braces for animals in need.
