The innovative response to this challenge is called "Teaching at the Right Level" (TaRL). This approach starts with assessment—a simple visual test on paper that determines what children can read or write. Instead of teaching children strictly by age or grade, TaRL categorizes them into groups based on their actual reading and writing levels.
