Part 8/9:
The Global Perspective: Zambia and Beyond
In Zambia, the TaRL program has been implemented across 1,100 schools, with plans to expand to 1,800 schools next year. The transformative power of children learning and feeling empowered is vividly evident—kids light up when they realize they can read, which fosters self-esteem and hope.
Changing the Narrative About Children and Learning
Crucially, the message is clear: kids are not resistant to learning. Rather, it's the way learning is packaged and delivered that makes all the difference.
As children sing and participate joyfully, a broader message emerges: we are giving back to children their childhood, restoring their confidence, dignity, and autonomy.
