It was early high school when my health began to decline. Hannah Lucas was diagnosed with POTS disease, a chronic condition that caused her to faint regularly. The physical struggles were compounded by an emotional whirlwind — persistent depression, intense anxiety, and a sense of being overwhelmed. I turned to self-harm and developed eating disorders, sinking deeper into darkness until I attempted suicide. It was a cry for help I couldn’t verbally express, feeling like a burden and unsure who I could trust.
