Part 3/6:
During this tumultuous period, I realized many others were suffering in silence. It’s often difficult to communicate pain and fear, especially when mental health issues come with stigma and shame. I wanted a quick way for people to reach out, to summon help without having to find the right words or make the call alone. That’s when I thought of an app — a digital safety net that could be activated instantly with the push of a button.
The concept was simple but powerful: an app with a panic button that, when pressed, immediately alerts trusted contacts, sends their GPS location, and asks them to check on the user. This "not okay" button would serve as a critical lifeline, especially for those who feel isolated or afraid to reach out directly.
