Part 4/6:
Inspired by my own struggles, I teamed up with my brother Charlie to develop the "Not Okay" app. Our goal was clear — provide a reliable tool that could make the world slightly lighter for others struggling like I did. I started designing and programming the wireframes in my free time, pouring heart and effort into turning a concept into a tangible solution.
Despite the challenges, our app gained significant traction. Today, it has over 50,000 downloads and approximately 30,000 emergency button presses. We don't just stop there; we operate a crisis line for the state of Georgia, answering around 1,000 calls daily from people seeking behavioral healthcare.
