What I found most uplifting was seeing peers helping peers. When I learned about the crisis line and the community around the app, it reminded me of the crucial importance of support — knowing someone is there to listen, to ask if you're okay, and to genuinely care.
The app encourages users to select five trusted contacts who are notified when they activate the "not okay" button. These contacts are encouraged not just to receive a message but to have an honest, open conversation with the person in distress. Our goal is to foster genuine connection, so that no one feels alone in their struggles.
