While the mechanical components are essential, what truly set this project apart was the application of art and biological knowledge. Every joint and servo was not just a mechanical element but part of a larger artistic vision to replicate the creature’s unique behavior and personality.
What makes a dolphin or an orca distinctive isn’t solely its physical form but the manner in which it moves, accelerates, and interacts with its environment. This required a nuanced understanding of animal behavior, motion physics, and artistry. It was this combination of science and art that brought the animatronic creatures to life in a way that resonated with audiences.
