This facility has become a hub for retraining former miners and community members in high-demand skills like advanced manufacturing and robotics. Students at eKAMI learn through hands-on experience in CNC machining, operating mills and lathes, and earning national credentials from reputable organizations such as the National Institute of Metalworking Skills.
The goal isn’t just to provide jobs but to attract new industries to the region. By cultivating a skilled, problem-solving workforce, EKCEP aims to entice companies that want reliable, hardworking employees, thus creating a more diverse and resilient economy.
