Part 4/9:
With his co-founder Clint, Dave founded Elroy Air, a scrappy startup composed of engineers, designers, and experts from major aerospace and tech firms like Northrop Grumman and Uber. Their goal: disrupt traditional logistics with groundbreaking autonomous aircraft.
The Challenge: Developing a Lower-Cost, Capable Aircraft
For years, Elroy Air dedicated itself to solving a dual challenge—creating an aircraft that is not only cheaper than existing airplanes but also more capable. They envisioned an autonomous aerial cargo system that could carry 300 to 500 pounds of goods over distances of 300 miles, radically changing last-mile logistics.
