Given that Sanders remains on the Browns’ roster, some might question: why hasn’t he been cut or traded? The answer is straightforward. If NFL teams believed Sanders could be an asset, they would pursue him, especially at a low cost—either through trades or claiming him off waivers. Since no such offers have materialized, it clearly indicates that Sanders isn’t viewed as NFL-ready or valuable enough for a deal.
Moreover, if the Browns were intentionally holding Sanders back out of malice or strategic devaluation, it would be illogical for other teams to avoid making offers or inquiries.
