Critique of the Series’ Tone and Intent
The series attempts a tone of satire but is fundamentally self-unaware and tone-deaf. Its satire aims to critique the wealthy, powerful women and their enemies but ends up highlighting how disconnected it is from reality. Instead of empowering women or providing genuine social commentary, it comes across as a rich, elitist female power fantasy, created seemingly by a gay man with a warped ideal of what women of that age are like.
