The dialogue is painfully scripted, with characters tossing out lines like, "We stepped away from the patriarchy," and "Your favorite case of the last 10 years. Go." The scene where Kim’s character, Allura, is asked to recount her favorite case is emblematic of the show’s shallow storytelling. Meanwhile, her relationship with her boyfriend unfolds in cringeworthy fashion—utterly nonsensical exchanges like "Didn’t this belong to Elizabeth Taylor?" followed by awkward make-outs.
