A highlight, or perhaps a lowlight, from the weekend was Caleb Williams’ dominant performance against the Giants' defense. Williams, the star rookie QB from USC, showcased his elite talent, making the Giants look helpless at times. His ability to evade pressure and run for touchdowns—one nearly reminiscent of a trick play—highlighted the ongoing inability of the Giants' defense to contain mobile quarterbacks.
Interestingly, Williams' near-escape and touchdown run demonstrated the Giants' defensive lapses. Despite being close to sacking him multiple times, defenders like Kavon Thibodeaux couldn't finish the plays. That inability to bring down Williams added to the mounting frustration critics and fans alike feel about the team's pass rush.
