Running a company that matches or surpasses Microsoft in scale isn't cheap. However, Musk is betting on the cost efficiency of AI infrastructure:
Developing massive supercomputing infrastructure specifically for Macrohard, worth billions of dollars.
Once trained, the marginal cost of producing software drops dramatically, as it’s primarily electricity and server upkeep, unlike human salaries and benefits— which totaled over $27 billion for Microsoft last year.
In theory, once the AI systems are operational and the infrastructure is in place, the ongoing costs are minimal compared to maintaining a human workforce. This economic model could allow Macrohard to outcompete traditional companies on cost and speed.
