Bob's foundation is deeply rooted in the personal computer revolution. Starting coding in high school, he earned a computer engineering degree and landed an early role at Zenith. There, he was fortunate to contribute to what he believes was possibly the world's first laptop computer — an exciting project that he regards as a seed for the internet revolution. His perspective is that the personal computer industry laid the groundwork for subsequent waves of technological change, culminating in Bitcoin.
He reflects on the late '80s, noting that early PC adoption was limited to businesses, with consumer integration not yet perceived as inevitable. Yet Bob recognized then, as he does now, the societal shift impending from such powerful tools.
