He had always been an innovator, creating one of the earliest podcasts in 2004 and growing it into a significant industry event. These experiences laid the groundwork for later Bitcoin conference endeavors.
In fact, Gary’s Bitcoin journey began roughly a week into his involvement in the space. Inspired by a discussion at a Dallas conference, where a friend explained Bitcoin as the "missing protocol" of the internet, Gary was intrigued. His curiosity led him to a deep 24-hour discussion, after which he impulsively bought Bitcoin with immediate conviction. His quick adoption came from his natural affinity for innovation and a desire to understand life-changing technology.
