One reason behind the resistance to labeling AI involvement is the current societal perception of AI. There’s a tendency for both consumers and creators to overreact—some artists, for example, are hostile toward AI, claiming it threatens their livelihoods—even when AI hasn't been employed in their work.
Moreover, many developers see AI as just another tool—similar to digital art software, procedural generation, or 3D modeling—that can expedite workflows when used responsibly. They argue that since AI often assists rather than replaces human effort, full transparency might be overkill or potentially counterproductive, especially if it discourages adoption of beneficial tools.
