However, the truth appears much simpler and more grounded in audience reception: The Acolyte had the lowest viewership of any Star Wars streaming show ever, a clear indicator that the audience simply didn't connect with it. Yet, instead of accepting that the show's failure was rooted in its reception, some fan factions and media outlets pointed fingers at critics.
