A common stereotype is that foreigners are generally affluent, a perception that is influenced by their higher value of money and different cost of living compared to Filipinos. However, the consensus among locals is more balanced: there's acknowledgment that some foreigners are indeed wealthy, possibly due to pensions, investments, or business success, but many are just average wage earners or retirees.
