Once celebrated for its innovative storytelling and beloved characters, the franchise now seems to be embroiled in constant controversy and missteps. The latest example came on Star Wars Day, May 4th, a day traditionally reserved for celebration of all things Star Wars. Instead, Disney decided to promote their new projects, but the backlash was overwhelming.
