From the moment the trailer dropped, fans and critics alike expressed skepticism. The trailer's cringe-worthy dialogue, subpar acting, and overall tone suggested another "girl boss" team-up movie following The Marvels, which already hasn't been well received. The movie's execution didn't seem to give viewers much hope, and early reviews confirmed their worst fears.
Rotten Tomatoes reports a shocking 133% Audience score, which is a clear typo but perhaps meant to emphasize an overwhelmingly negative reception from audience members (as Rotten Tomatoes scores are usually out of 100%). Conversely, actual audience ratings are a dismal 43%. Everywhere you look, Madame Webb is being obliterated—critics and audiences alike are united in their disdain.
