Ken Scott’s entry into the industry was anything but traditional. Driven by a fascination with tape and audio engineering, he boldly reached out to studios at the age of 16, and remarkably, secured a position at Abbey Road within just nine days of leaving school. His first role was as a tape operator—or “button pusher”—where he learned the intricacies of the studio environment, mic placement, and studio etiquette.
