One of Scott’s most poetic praise is reserved for Abbey Road’s rooms themselves. He describes the acoustics as almost possessing a personality—further enhanced by the studio’s strategic placement of echo chambers and plates on the roof, which contributed to the iconic sound of many recordings. He marvels at how modern engineers must adapt to room acoustics, whereas in his days, exploiting these spaces was an art form in itself.
