The decision to create a sequel no one asked for is, in itself, a gamble that backfires. Following last week's episode, which garnered the lowest ratings in the show's history, expectations were low. Yet, writers doubled down, pushing the limitations of the narrative and production, even filming in a quarry with a poorly-rendered monster that resembles wishful CGI more than credible creature design.
