Part 10/16:
The cast's performances range from the perpetually confused to the outright irritating. Cutie Gatwa, the Doctor, is portrayed as an inept, disinterested figure who does nothing to save anyone and largely observes events with a shrug. His attempts at heroism — such as a forced death drop — come off as embarrassing and unnecessary. The Doctor's characterization as a brilliant yet incompetent figure is, perhaps, a critique of the script's direction but ultimately makes the protagonist unrelatable and ineffective.
