The episode's visual effects are another point of contention. Scenes depicting the dust spreading across worlds, the TARDIS flying through bizarrely designed "memory corridors," and elaborate sequences involving pulling gods with "intelligent ropes" are not only laughable but also poorly executed. The CGI costs appear evident, with CGI elements frequently looking cheap and uninspired, especially during moments that should evoke awe.
Particularly absurd is the notion that the TARDIS (~a living, memory-fed machine) can be "made" out of thin air, creating multiple copies with reckless abandon. The idea that Ruby can just "think" a TARDIS into existence, manipulating "memory as a time machine," stretches credulity to the breaking point.
