Instead of closing a beloved series with dignity, it seems to have been written with contempt, favoring spectacle and shock value over story quality. Expecting viewers to accept outrageous concepts and nonsensical explanations as "big reveals" only disillusions longstanding fans.
As of this writing, viewers are left with a hollow, unsatisfying ending that blames the audience for their investment. The future of Doctor Who looks uncertain if episodes like this serve as the blueprint. Many hope that future seasons will learn from this disaster and return to storytelling that values clarity, character, and heartfelt narrative.
