Mundy, typically granted exceptions due to his species' low birthrate—often having multiple wives—appears here out of place. The show introduces him with questionable authenticity, leading fans to wonder why such a character was inserted into the timeline where he's not meant to belong.
Another baffling aspect is the exaggerated and pointless use of sets, such as the vast forest planet Walkie, which is depicted as an enormous, homogenous woodland ecosystem. The characters’ inability—or unwillingness—to navigate this massive terrain makes their pursuit of the antagonist seem equally massive and pointless.
