Visually, The Acolyte impresses with its landscapes and costume designs. It endeavors to bring new worlds, such as witches tapping into the Force in innovative ways, into the canon, addressing a long-standing desire for more expansive world-building. This is seen as a positive step, adding richness to the lore. Nonetheless, critics feel the environments and set designs lack the evolution seen in previous installments, signifying a universe that hasn't progressed visually or culturally over the centuries.
