As days passed with no physical attack, Iran’s internal mechanisms began to fracture visibly and violently. Soldiers abandoned their posts en masse, protests erupted simultaneously in dozens of cities, and internal allegiances within Iran’s security apparatus shattered. The regime found itself caught in a civil war of sorts, fought by factions competing within the corridors of power, not on the battlefield.
