Real adoption will only happen when people can use their coins to pay for real-world products and services — exactly as Satoshi envisioned.
The more I observe the crypto market and immerse myself in it, I can clearly see that we need more solutions to give people more ways to purchase their products and pay for the services they need. Most of the industry is only about speculation and hype, with no practical solutions to make people use their stored assets to get what they need to live.
A few days ago, I got a notification on one of my social accounts about a new service in my region that allows people to buy airtime vouchers, data bundles, energy, etc., and pay using the crypto of their choice. I was amazed to see that service, and I immediately went to their website to try it — and it works great. This is a service used by many people every day; after all, people buy data bundles, pay for energy vouchers, and use other services that make their lives easier.
It might not be something people consider important, but in fact, it is worth far more than we think.
Crypto was meant to be used since the time Satoshi put the idea on the table. In his equations, he was already dreaming of a world where people could get their services and pay for their products using their decentralized assets. They maintain control over their money and use it as they wish — no government interference, no permission required, and no borders to worry about.
People are in control, and this is the most important thing we can want in this universe.
If people are willing to use their assets to get what they need in order to live, then more services are needed to facilitate that and to put people in control of their money. It is useless to get crypto if it can only be exchanged for USDT to be used in the real world. We need more ways to spend these coins and get everything Satoshi worked so hard to deliver to the world.
If that doesn’t happen, I see a doomed future for crypto — living on speculation and hype instead of utility and real use cases.
