Apps that buy HIVE early to get RCs are unlikely to buy enough to deal with massive expansion (because it’s very hard to predict). They will need to buy more HIVE as they grow.
Dud Apps that bought but never got traction will sell and make a profit
despite the failure of the actual DApp.

Yeah, I've seen this happening with some apps. But it is really hard to predict. No one knows the future.
At least if you bought to much and can sell, it was worth it regarding the Hive. Although I guess, that the people making the app, would've love to see it succeed anyways.
