Since a very long time, there hasn't been a #hive coin pump, which worries the traders. Because a large portion of the hive ecosystem's population owns liquid HIVE and often sells them when the Hive pumps. The volume of the Hive coin has also dropped to just $150,000, which is its lowest level. This shows that many investors and traders are temporarily staying away from this coin, as has been seen.
A 5% increase in value occurs when Bitcoin pumps early in the morning, pushing the price to around $28300. HIVE's price only increased by about 1.5% or so, not keeping up with Bitcoin. This is considerably less than other cryptocurrencies that adopted Bitcoin's move. That worries me about the condition that HIVE is much slower these days and the price movement is around to dead.
The upsetting thing for me is that HIVE is still at $0.35 when BTC is at $28,000 and in the case If Bitcoin fails and its value drops to $25,000 what will happen to HIVE's price? It might drop to $0.3. In other words, the upward movement is more gradual than the downward movement. If Bitcoin is valued at $28k, the estimated price of HIVE must be $0.45.
Recently, I saw that certain alt-coins, such as SAND, BEL, ADA, XRP, and other coins that pump hard even more than 10%, showed some favourable increases, although Bitcoin only climbed 5%. This is what I require from HIVE, which will safeguard its price range if BTC falls once more. The scenario is if Bitcoin goes down to $25000 then there will be gap of price decline for those coins who have pumped hard.
LARGE INVESTORS' IMPACT ON HIVE'S PRICE GROWTH
But one aspect of HIVE that pleases me is its low volume, which suggests that this coin has the appeal for an important price hike if a good volume comes in. If a large investor purchases a significant amount of a coin with little trading activity, the price will react quickly and rise further. Just like how the price of hive will quickly increase if a large investor purchases it.
Which suggests that one of the main reasons the price is not changing much is due to hive volume. I'm fairly certain that the price will go above $1 if only there is an increase of roughly 5M volume in the hive. And hopefully there are large whales waiting to buy at the right moment. There are whales who will take entry in this coin once they confirm the bull run which will surely benefit all the HIVE holders.
This is a brief explanation of the HIVE coin and its price fluctuation, based on my understanding and study. My five years of experience have shown me that if Hive acquires more than 5M volume, the price will undoubtedly exceed $1. Then, HIVE coin's bullish rise should be confirmed. likewise it should be highlighted that the volume of 5M must remain for at least a week to prevent a sudden cooldown in HIVE.
