How to Be the Best Version of Yourself

in LeoFinance3 years ago (edited)

I believe that everyone wants to improve! No matter how smart, experienced, or wealthy you are, you must have the drive within to push yourself forward otherwise life will get boring pretty quickly. Once you stop learning and improving, you can easily get stuck in a loop of bad decisions. It's not where I want to go and I hope that you don't too. That's why I have compiled together a few thoughts so you could ask yourself if you're going in the right direction.

Remember that @bagofincome is not a guru of some kind and there's no guarantee that after reading this post you will be better than you were yesterday. These are simply words that I combined together to bring a new experience for my readers. When you're ready, scroll down and we'll go through the most important topics when it comes to being successful and improving yourself. Everything below is just a personal opinion.

I'm consistently talking about consistency. I think I have mentioned it in almost all of my articles. Probably because the best way to learn something is by doing it. If you want to master it, you must do it every single day. No matter what it is, you have to show up and do the chores. If it's writing, write. If it's coding, code!

“It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It's what we do consistently.”
― Anthony Robbins

It's simple but it must be repeated time and time again until you've brainwashed yourself that you must put in the effort to achieve actual results! Once you start doing something every day, you'll soon look back and be surprised by the progress you've made.

As you are seeing - today I'm letting quotes do the talking because someone has obviously said it before me. Especially when we're talking about self-improvement. We've been improving ourselves since the beginning of time so why stop now?

“A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.”
― Bruce Lee

Having a goal on your mind can keep you focused and devoted to your tasks. If you don't have a goal, you're simply wandering around and it often leads you nowhere.

There are always opportunities all around us, especially when it comes to making money online. Not only there are places where you can earn by writing/commenting and engaging in various activities, but there are also places where you can sell your services or even better, get involved in new and promising projects.

"In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity"
— Albert Einstein

As the crypto industry keeps getting bigger, more people will make a living with it. There is already a new era of millionaires thanks to the success of Bitcoin. What if the next era is a tokenized internet where our actions are rewarded? Something like where we are right now, LeoFinance.

If you're consistent and do the work that needs to be done, you'll automatically develop positive habits. Whether it's writing an article per day or doing ten pushups in the morning, having positive habits can greatly increase your productivity and the rate at which you're improving yourself.

"Habits are like financial capital – forming one today is an investment that will automatically give out returns for years to come."
— Shawn Achor

Imagine if you had a positive habit of writing a personal diary that you could look back to whenever you needed to. Whether it's for looking at your habits when you were successful or reminding yourself why you started something in the first place, this habit would greatly impact your life.

Very often we look back only at something we did bad which is awfully wrong. Yes, we need to analyze our mistakes to do better next time but we should also analyze our success runs and the stuff we did well. Once we focus on the good stuff, more good appears, right?

''Learn avidly. Question repeatedly what you have learned. Analyze it carefully. Then put what you have learned into practice intelligently.''
-Edward Cocker

Remember not to over-analyze things, it will only lead you to frustration and lack of confidence. Take notes, write down what you did when things were smoothly going forward, repeat it, and reach new heights!

There will always be obstacles along the way. Some give up but those who reach success are always standing up to try one more time until they figure out what needs to be done. Every obstacle is an opportunity to learn and a challenge to yourself.

"Turn your obstacles into opportunities and your problems into possibilities."
— Roy T. Bennett

Pretty inspirational, right? If you're persistent enough, you'll find your opportunities and reach the success that you were dreaming of (if only just a tiny fraction of it). I know you can do it! But there's one more thing on the list.

By saying grow a beard I mean get out there and collect the XP points that are waiting for you. Practice new things, learn tons of stuff, and get those experiences stacked - it's truly the best way to learn and improve!

''All you have to do to earn money is write down a couple of words in the right order.''
